Immersive Planting Design
Our interest in the botanical world and passion for planting design underpins Botanic’s approach to landscape architecture. A well-considered planting composition engages our senses, expresses the seasons and connects us to the natural world.
Botanic’s planting designs use a variety of textures, forms and botanical interest to create vertical layering and complement the built forms. Evergreens providing all year foliage and structure are combined with flowering plants to give seasonal vibrancy. Our design process involves collaborating closely with our clients and expanding our plant knowledge through research, visiting nurseries, and monitoring how planting schemes mature.
Yes, we are plant nerds.
Botanic believe that planting is key in defining the character of landscapes. Each planting design is unique to our clients aspirations, their needs and the opportunity to create something special. An immersive planting is not only beneficial to humans, but also creates biodiverse habitat for our local wildlife to thrive in.

Some of the things we can help you with
When seeking assistance on planting design, here are some of things we will be considering in our design work:
Understanding the site’s context, architecture, soil conditions and climate. Selecting appropriate plants that thrive in those conditions naturally.
The desired style for the planting scheme including combining evergreen ‘structural plants’ with seasonal vibrancy.
How the plantings will be experienced by people to create spaces that add intrigue and engage with our emotions.
What the desired level of maintenance is, from establishment through to maturity.
Creating communities of plants that provide habitat for wildlife and increase biodiversity.
Selecting species that can adapt to our changing climate making it more resilient.
